Filmmaker Anurag Kashyap is known to make artsy films like Black Friday (2004), No Smoking (2007), Dev D (2009) and Gulaal (2009). But it seems like the director has finally mellowed down and is now offering a full-blown family entertainer. His first venture in this genre, Luv Shuv Tey Chicken
Khurana, has successfully crossed the first threshold of being labelled as a family film, by acquiring a U/A certificate, unlike any of his previous projects. The film directed by Sameer Sharma, is about a quirky Punjabi family’s quest for the family recipe of Chicken Khurana. A source close to Anurag, who is the creative producer in this film, reveals that his primary focus was not to make it a masala film and reach out beyond his usual audience. “However, he maintains his uniqueness by choosing food as the central topic,” the source adds.
