Ranbir Kapoor can neither speak nor hear in Barfi!, but he's an expert in the launguage of romance. Ileana D'Cruz's innocence and Ranbir Kapoor's mischievous ways come together to make the track Main Kya Karoon enjoyable.
Composed by Pritam and crooned by Nikhil Paul George, the song is slow and melodious.
The first trailer of the movie was quite a hit and director Anurag Basu admits that he couldn't have done it without Ranbir.
"If Ranbir wouldn't have done this movie, I wouldn't have made it. I always had Ranbir in my mind for this role. Even on the day when I was writing the 10th page of the script," Basu had said in a statement.
Ranbir essays the role of a deaf and mute person and he excels with his intricate gestures and body language, which reminds one of Mr Bean and Charlie Chaplin.
"Ranbir as a person is very spontaneous and naughty. His aura is such that I remember on the last day of shoot, Ranbir was bidding good bye to all by hugging them. I saw how everyone was feeling that moment....they were really feeling sad," Basu said.
"I don't know if it was RK or Barfi! who created that feeling in all," he said.
Releasing on September 14, Barfi also stars Priyanka Chopra, who plays an autistic character in the film besides Tollywood actress Ileana D'Cruz.
