Aamir Khan has reportedly ditched Talaash makers and given his dates, which were for the promotion of the film, to Rajkumar Hirani's Peekay.
Why this happened
Aamir Khan, going by his perfectionist image, wanted to reshoot certain portions in the second half of Talaash. But director Reema Kagti didn't entertain his fancies.
Now it seems the actor is giving it back to the director. Aamir was supposed to return from his Dhoom 3 shoot in Chicago to promote Talaash but now he has given those dates to Peekay.
What happens now
"Aamir will be shooting for Dhoom 3 from October to January 2013. He will take a break in November or December for the first schedule of Hirani's project. Other than that, he will not be in Mumbai for anything. Aamir seriously feels that Talaash needs rework. Now the team has two options. They can either go ahead and release the film without their lead actor, which could prove disastrous since Aamir films do well only when he is involved with the project. Or, they can wait for the actor to finish shooting Dhoom 3 in Chicago and return to take charge of Talaash," a source told Mumbai Mirror.
All this has put producers Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani in a fix. Now, Talaash, which also stars Rani Mukerji and Kareena Kapoor, will most likely be released next year only.
Moral of the story: don't mess with this Khan!
