Producer Ekta Kapoor and Kya Super Kool Hain Hum director Sachin Yardi apparently had a falling out over a dialogue in the film, which takes a dig at actors Nargis Fakhri and Diana Penty.
Says a source, “In the scene, Tusshar Kapoor tells Riteish Deshmukh, ‘Pehle ki heroines ke naam hote the Madhubala, Waheeda Rahman, aur ab dekho Penty, Fakhri.’ Ekta wanted this dialogue to be removed as she felt it was in bad taste, but Sachin didn’t listen and hence there was a lot of friction between them over this.”
On being contacted Yardi says, “Ekta insisted on not using the scene involving the names of Fakhri (Nargis) and Penty (Diana). We argued a lot and I told her that I’m the director. It’s my film. I will do it my way.”
Meanwhile, Ekta, who will visit the Capital today to unveil the film’s ‘A’ trailer, which will release only on the web, refused to comment on the matter.
