After doing a spate of action films, Salman Khan is making a comeback in romance genre. He would play Prem in Sooraj Barjatya's next. The actor will portray the titular role of elder brother. The film will be titled Bade Bhaiyya, reports Mid Day. “Salman will play the character of the elder brother, that was traditionally done by Mohnish Behl in the films by the banner,” a source told the tabloid.
The film will also feature the regular Barjatya faces, reveals the tabloid.
The casting of the film will start in a month. The film will reportedly have half-a-dozen tracks. Like all Barjatya films, melody will be the highlight of the soundtrack.
Sooraj Barjatya had earlier talked about his intention to cast Sallu in his next. "I am writing my script and should be starting shooting soon," he had told PTI.
He had earlier told Hindustan Times that he's willing to wait for his original Prem. "Salman is the perfect Prem for my story, which I’m still developing. But now, after reading about his health, I’m worried. I don’t want to risk his health for my movie,” said Sooraj, adding, “I don’t mind waiting for him for two to three years if that’s what it will take for him to get cured.”
Salman Khan has worked with Barjatya as Prem in films like Maine Pyaar Kiya, Hum Aapke Hain Kaun and Hum Saath Saath Hain.
