"It was director Soumik Sen who narrated the story to me and I really liked it. It was his idea of having Madhuri in the film. He met her and she was also very excited about it," Sinha adds.
Gulab Gang is the story of a gang of women fighting against social injustice. "It is not a biopic nor is it based on anyone. It is fiction," informs Sinha. There will be six female characters in the film. "We have just finalised Madhuri. Soumik had mentioned that he wants to cast Mahie Gill, Shilpa Shukla also. But I don't know if things have been finalised. We are also looking for a female antagonist," he adds.
