New Delhi, April 12 -- There'll be a desi touch to the US premiere of The Avengers today. The video of the film's Hindi theme song, Hello Andhero, composed by Mumbai-based band Agnee, is likely to be showcased at the premiere in Los Angeles. "This will be the first Hindi song for any Hollywood movie that will be showcased at the film's premiere in the US," says an insider from the production house. The video will supposedly be screened after the credits roll at the end of the film.
The soundtrack's lead singer Mohan says, "I know that there was some news from Burbank, where Disney is located, that something like that was happening, since they liked the song. If it's true, then that's outstanding." Disney representatives remained unavailable for comment.
The American superhero film, produced by Marvel Studios, directed by Joss Whedon and distributed by Walt Disney Pictures, brings together various iconic characters such as Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr), Captain America (Chris Evans) Nick Fury (Samuel L Jackson), The Hulk (Mark Ruffalo) and Thor (Chris Hemsworth). The Avengers will hit theatres in India on April 27, a week before it will open in the US on May 4.
