Neil Nitin Mukesh turns full-time singer

The last time actor Neil Nitin Mukesh lent his voice to the music album of a film was in 2009, for Jail, directed by Madhur Bhandarkar, and director Jehangir Surti’s Aa Dekhen Zara.

Now, he picks up the microphone once again to sing six songs in his debut production Paidaar, which is supposed to start sometime this year. He has also composed the melody for the songs. “I have created six tunes for the film and will be singing them myself. Things are shaping up well there,” says Neil.

The multi-tasking actor also claims to have written the script for his new venture under the banner of Neil Nitin Mukesh Films Pvt Limited. “After locking the script, I started concentrating on the music of the film. I was interested in composing some peppy numbers that suit the preference of the modern generation,” say
