The first day of the 11th Auto Expo saw some of the biggest names from the B-town including mega star Amitabh Bachchan, Ranbir Kapoor and John Abraham adding Bollywood glamour to the car show.
Other celebrities who flew down to the capital to lend their support to their favourite brands were heartthrob Ranbir Kapoor, Katrina Kaif and actor-director Farhan Akhtar.
Amitabh Bachchan, an automobile buff, unveiled DC Avanti a creation of automotive designer Dilip Chabaria.
"I am very happy to promote this car. Me and Dilip go a long way. We have mutual respect and interest for each other's work. I think what he has been doing is amazing and a talent like him should be encouraged," he said.
The 69-year-old actor hailed the 25 lakh car as the country's first super car.
