A few months ago, the music of Shah Rukh Khan’s film RA.One, released on Long Playing (LP) vinyl records for the price of Rs 699. And with the launch of the music of the recent release, Rockstar on the archaic format, LPs seems to have reserved their place on the shelves for good.
“Launching Bollywood music on LPs is now a consistent part of our plan every month. What we supply to the market is clear in terms of what the market wants. All new big films are now part of this standard package,” says Adarsh Gupta, business head, music Saregama India Ltd.
