NEW DELHI, Nov. 6 -- His soulful renditions have calmed many troubled souls, but the secret behind singer Kailash Kher's calm demeanour, is his two-year old son, Kabir.
"I used to be very aggressive in nature. I used to get angry very often but my son Kabir has really mellowed me down since he was born two years ago. He has changed me a lot and really made me relaxed in life," says the 38-year-old, who got married in 2009.
"I sometimes feel he is my father and I'm his child. One can very well see the change he has brought in me in my musical sense too," adds the singer, who has lent his vocals in over 16 languages since the last eight years. Kher also reveals he is yet to come out of shock of singing legend Jagjit Singh's demise last month.
"Jagjit Singh ji used to treat me like his son. I used to call him papa ji. He used to play with Kabir like his grandfather. We were really close. All his projects since the last one-and-half years were being recorded in our studio," says Kher, who will be performing at the Siri Fort Auditorium today, as part of Fever Entertainment's Tribute series for Pakistani singing legend Ustad Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan.
