Mumbai, Oct. 25 -- A tribute will be held to honour the memory and music of the late ghazal maestro Jagjit Singh. The first half of the concert will be see a performance by ghazal singer Jaswinder Singh, before popular playback singer, Hariharan takes over.
The two will sing some ghazals from their own repertoires, as well as those popularised by Jagjit Singh. Jagjit Singh, also known as "The Ghazal King," passed away on the tenth of this month of a brain hemorrhage at the age of seventy. "Jagjitji is not physically with us, but he will always live in our hearts," says Jaswinder Singh.
Jagjit Singh was a celebrated ghazal singer, composer and music director. He and his wife, Chitra Singh became the first successful husbandwife duo act in the history of recorded Indian music. His music became popular thr
