Zee TV: A trip to Somnath

By Hindustan Times

Mumbai, May 6 -- Set in 11th century Gujarat, Zee TV's magnum opus, Shobha Somnath Ki, which goes on air later this month, tells the story of how Mahmud of Ghazni's invasion was suppressed by Shobhana - the show's lead protagonist.

Prominently featuring the Somnath Temple, which has been destroyed and rebuilt six times, the set has been constructed over a nine-acre plot in Amgaon, Maharashtra, and took a year and a half to complete.
