I had fistfights with Deepika: Bipasha
By Hindustan Times
She is the original bombshell of Bollywood. Never known to mince words, Bipasha Basu flies off the handle as soon as she’s asked about her relationship with John Abraham. “I think enough has already been said about it. There’s no need for further clarifications,” says Basu, adding, “It’s my life and I will continue to live it the way I want to”.
Though reports suggest that her and John Abraham’s love life is going through a rough patch, all is well on the professional front. Her list of upcoming projects includes films like Dum Maaro Dum, Players and her first English film Singularity.
Excited about her role in Dum Maaro Dum, Bips says, “In the film, I play Zoey, a typical happy go lucky Goan girl who changes into a completely different woman.” But wasn’t she reportedly unhappy over co-star Deepika Padukone’s item number getting prominence? “Yeah, we had fistfights too. I was thinking of taking a picture of Deepika and me embroiled in a fist fight and putting it up on Twitter for the media,” laughs Basu. "The song is already a chartbuster. And I’m sure it’ll work for us.”
About Rolland Joffe’s Singularity, for which Basu will be soon shooting at Orcha in Madhya Pradesh, she says, “The cast and crew of film are already here in India. I’m very excited and looking forward to be a good host to them.”
Busy Bips has also been approached by the Bhatts to do a sizzling item number in Murder 2. “I have a good relationship with the Bhatts. But dates aren’t working out. If things fall in place, I might do it,” says Basu, who enjoyed shooting for Players in New Zealand with Sonam Kapoor and Neil Nitin Mukesh.
Yeah, we had fist fights too (laughs)..... I think we need to grow up from creating stories of fights between heroines
A lot has been discussed about my personal life which is disturbing. When I get married, the world would know
Sonam Kapoor (co-star in Players) is very sweet but was mostly engrossed in her Ipad when not shooting
