He's never been an 'Anjaana' in Bollyworld. Not even when he was debuting with Saawariya. Ranbir Kapoor has inherited his basics in acting and filmmaking from his family. That's probably why Konkona remarked it was a learning experience working with the Kapoor dude in Wake Up Sid even when she was senior than Ranbir in the industry.
Cut to 2010, Saawariya boy today has a 'star' tag attached, with movies like Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani and Raajneeti doing extremely well. The actor was present in Kingdom of Dreams with his pretty co-star Piggy Chops, and all kicked up about his latest release Anjaana Anjaani.
Unlike his last film with Siddharth Anand, Bachna Ae Haseeno where he got to romance with three glam ladies, here he will be sharing screen-space with two co-stars - Priyanka Chopra and Blush. The latter is a car, but nevertheless an Ranbirimportant character. So who was the better co-star? With Priyanka, just a few metres away interacting with media, Ranbir did't want to take any chance. He says, "It's a tough call, but I would like to say Priyanka Chopra because the car stopped every ten minutes and we had to push the car. But with time we understood each other better (blushes). Priyanka is a great co-star. It was lovely working with her."
Working with childhood buddy Siddharth Anand again after Bachna Ae Haseeno was also fun for Ranbir, but he's hoping audience like the film. "I know Siddharth from childhood. This time also we had fun. But what matters at the end of day is the final result. I'm looking forward to the film's release. Hope audience give thumbs up to the film."
Kapoor jr is also set for his first world tour and to accompany him, names of Priyanka Chopra, ex-flame Deepika Padukone and Katrina Kaif are doing rounds. So what are the final names? "I've a offer for the world tour but nothing has been finalised as yet. It was false reporting."
Don't trust every news that is in circulation these days related to Ranbir, as there's another one, that he tags as "just rumour". Trashing media reports of him working with parents Rishi and Neetu, Ranbir says they are nothing more than figment of media's imagination. "I would love to work with them. But then we haven't been offered any film together. These are plain rumours."
"But I'm excited about Do Dooni Chaar starring my parents," the proud son declares.
Coming up next are Imtiaz Ali's Rockstar next year, Anurag Basu's next with Priyanka Chopra and Ayan Mukherji's next.
