Talking about the gaming industry, Kulkarni said, "There is tremendous opportunity in gaming in the worldwide market and India, as of now, has a minor share. We want to spread more and more awareness about gaming, so that people start realizing the potential of the industry. What we also need is support from the central and state governments."
According to Kulkarni, MCCIA has also proposed a draft policy named AVGC (Animation, VFX, Gaming and Comics) to the state government "Training is one of the core components of the industry and since institutes require good infrastructure, we have appealed the central government to give industry status to educational institutes."
