Mumbai, May 6 -- Clearly, viral marketing is in vogue in Bollywood. Now it is the Bhatts, who are going all out to promote their forthcoming film Murder 2 on social networking portals. After uploading some promos and soliciting public opinions on Twitter, the filmmakers now want netizens to pick the film's primary poster from the five options provided.
"There was a disagreement between Mohit Suri and me, so we thought the best way would be to show all the posters to the people of the country and let them select one," says Bhatt.
"We will blindly go with the voters' opinion." The option that gets the maximum votes will be selected. A couple of randomly picked winners will also get to meet actors Emraan Hashmi and Jacqueline Fernandez.
Starting today, the poll will continue for 24 hours on www.facebook.com/m2thefilm. "We are eager to see which one is selected," says the veteran filmmaker. Interestingly, the promo of the 2004 sequel had created a slight rift among the makers.
When Bhatt uploaded the trailer of Murder 2 on his Twitter account, he had tweeted: "This promo has created a rift within our group. We have extreme views. Please watch this and send me your feedback." Murder (2004) starring Mallika Sherawat and Emraan Hashmi was a big hit. The sequel will see Sri Lankan actor Jacqueline replace Mallika. It is expected to release on July 8.
