Neil Nitin Mukesh: I'm more focussed than Ranbir

NEW DELHI, Oct. 1 -- Not many know that actors Neil Nitin Mukesh and Ranbir Kapoor went to the same college and that the two are good friends. Neil recently revealed, "Ranbir and I went to the same college. I've never seen Ranbir attend any lecture in college. He was always outside college with beautiful girls," the actor told host Simi Garewal on her show, India's Most Desirable.

The actor added, "I'm more focussed than Ranbir." The Kapoor scion also tops the list of his industry friends. "Ranbir, Riddhima, Arya Babbar, Sikandar (Kher), Abhishek (Bachchan), all are good friends," he said. The actor also bared his heart about his ex-girlfriend, who he intended to marry, but things didn't work out.

"I wasn't single before. I know her since six years. We are still friends," said the self-proclaimed romantic. "On Valentine's Day, I had decorated my house with red balloons and also played the piano." He however, added, "Expectations are unmatched in my relations and so they don't work out."

Neil, who is the son of legendary singer Nitin Mukesh, played the piano and sang old melodies from Karz, Papa Kehte Hain and Aa Dekhen Zara, on the show. He also sang Tune Jo Na Kaha from his film New York and Jeena Yahaan, Marna Yahaan from Mera Naam Joker. He dedicated the latter to his father. The actor mentioned that he has composed six songs for an upcoming film. "I'm going to sing, compose and act," he said.
