The Ajay Devgn starrer produced under his own banner Ajay Devgn Ffilms is all set to release on 28th October, the Diwali weekend. Ajay romances Sayyeshaa Saigal and Erika Kaal. As for the music, the album also has a British band called The Vamps part of it. Does it impress? No.
1. Bolo Har Har Har
The first track is a catchy, powerpacked, almost aggressive number. Mithoon starts of slowly and steadily, backed by Mohit Chauhan and Sukhwinder Singh. I can’t believe I’m saying this, but Badshah’s rap is absolutely powerful and kickass! In fact, it’s the best part of the song. The song was first heard in the trailer of the film. Just like the film’s theme, the song focuses on destroying evil, and of course the power of (the new age) Shivaay (with a hoodie). The ridiculous and over-exaggerated video is what kills it for the song, but otherwise I think it’s pretty cool.
A romantic track in the freezing mountains of… the Himalayas… I guess? The singers are Mithoon, Arijit Singh and Sunidhi Chauhan. The song is sweet, but not different or memorable. As for the video, my only favourite part is the private little tent hanging between the cliff! Romantic vacation goals!
A beautiful song in the beautiful voice of Jasleen Kaur Royal. Definitely my favourite one from the album. She debuted in Baar Baar Dekho’s Kho Gaye Hum Kahan and Nachde Ne Saare, and stole everyone’s heart. Does she do the same here? Almost. The reprise version is more depressing and heavier.
4. Tere Naal Ishqa
Yet another romantic track, and Kailash Kher’s soulful voice does the magic here. It’s a treat to hear him after so long!
An average music album that focuses too much on the love songs and less on reflecting the flavour of the movie. It’s vague and uninteresting, and has no story to tell of its own.
