The much much much awaited Amitabh Bachchan starrer raised a lot of expectations with its trailer itself.
The film revolves around courtroom drama involving a woman’s honour. A very relevant film in today’s scenario. Is the music album as relevant? Absolutely!!!
1. Jeeney De Mujhe
Rocking music, superb lyrics and an awesome spirit. Sung by Faiza Mujahid, this rock number is the best way to open the album! The song is very relatable, especially for girls in our country. It wakes you, shakes you and makes you sing along. A big thumbs up for this one – or shall I say, middle finger?
2. Kaari Kaari
This track has a beautiful, peppy feel to it as soon as it starts. However, once Qurat-Ul-Ain Balouch starts singing in her deep and intense voice, the mood at once changes. It’s a very dark and sad track. Again, a song that everyone can relate to, and completely the opposite of the first track. It makes you feel helpless, and it makes you think. Simply amazing…
3. Tujhse Hi Hai Roshni
In the voice of Anupam Roy, the third track is much lighter than both previous tracks. It has a positive feel to it, and makes you feel like you can achieve the world! A great motivational song.
The title track, by Jonita Gandhi (and Rapper-EPR Iyer), is not as impressive as the others. Though it tries to communicate girl power energy in a peppy pop manner, but it lacks soul somewhat.
5. Tu Chal
More like intense poetry rather than a song, armed with Amitabh Bachchan voice himself himself, this last one makes you stand up and clap. It’s A B S O L U T E L Y powerful, and leaves you with a WOW! What a great way to end the album…
This album has got everything it needs to support its movie (which clearly needs no support, but still)! It’s power-packed with a strong message!
