Main Tera Hero is a romantic action-comedy film starring Ileana D’Cruz and Nargis Fakhri with the freshest teen heart throb Varun Dhawan. The film is directed by daddy David Dhawan, and is a remake of Telegu film Kandireega. It is set to release on 4th April 2014 – the day you will see the cinema halls filled with girls.
Besharmi Ki Height
This song is confused. A song that is all about having a “besharam” night, suddenly takes a romantic road in the middle of the song. The lyrics are trashy, the tune is muddled up, the dance steps are absurd, and the singers Benny Dayal and Shalmali Kholgade don’t help the song at all. The song is actually a party song, which is a revelation I had after seeing the (not so sexy) video. The remix version by DJ Notorious has just some club beats added. It’s as annoying, if not more, as the original song.
Palat – Tera Hero Idhar Hai
This song is as disastrous as its title. The track sounds at least a decade outdated, and is somehow gives a Sallu song feel (probably only he could pull off something like this). And as for the vocals, Arijit Singh is clearly cut for romantic songs only.
This number starts Punjabi style which transforms into roadside music, then to some guitar strings, and goes right back to roadside music followed by the original Punjabi beats and vocals. The music fusion is great! The song starts off pretty boring but gets fun and humorous towards the middle, thanks to the lyrics and singers, Arijit Singh and Shalmali Kholgade, who have done a really good job here. This song has a remix version by which starts off with the best part of the song in the very beginning followed by superb music DJ Chetas. It’s slightly better than the original version.
Galat Baat Hai
The last track strangely starts off with almost exactly the same beats as “Tumse mil ke” from Main Hoon Na, and the song continues to have very familiar beats (from different random songs). The first few lines already made me want to stop the music. Sung by Neeti Mohan and Javed Ali, this song is boring. Very boring.
A very dull music album. Not what’s expected from a Varun Dhawan movie, which has been much awaited by all the girls. The songs are anything but fresh, and heavily influenced by the David Dhawan tadka.
