Mumbai, July 18 -- The heady mix of thrill and sensuality seems to have created quite a bit of buzz for Hate Story 2. To tap into this heightened audience interest, the distributors and producers of the revenge drama have doubled the number of screens at which the film will be released.
Anil Thadani, the distributor for Hate Story 2,confirms: "The response we have received from the exhibitors is overwhelming. We have increased the screens from 500-600 to 1,200. Hate Story 2 will surely receive a superb opening at the box office."
The buzz around the film, say its makers, can be attributed to a strong promotional strategy, as also the sultry numbers, 'Aaj phir tum pe' and 'Pink lips', which features Sunny Leone. Producer Bhushan Kumar shares, "I am happy that the song that we recreated ('Aaj phir tum pe') is being loved by all. We have tried to reach our audiences with the right kind of marketing activities and promotional tours across the country." Trade analyst Taran Adarsh says, "The promos of Hate Story 2 have gained tremendous curiosity. The brand value attached to it, the songs of the film and the theme of woman's vendetta has clicked over the years. This could be a lethal combination."
And the makers are only happy that the Hate Story franchise is bigger now. "We have always supported new talent. The film marks the debut of the lead cast, and their on-screen chemistry is already creating the right buzz," says Kumar. T-Series' Hate Story 2, directed by Vishal Pandya, releases today.
