Haider Music Review

By Tulsi, Bollywood.com News Network

Haider is Vishal Bhardwaj’s modern-day adaption of William Shakespear’s Hamlet. Set in Kashmir, this film stars Shahid Kapoor, Tabu, and Shraddha Kapoor. It is Bhardwaj’s third installment of the Shakespeare trilogy, Omkara and Maqbool being the first and second, and doing excellently well! Released on 2nd of October, Haider already has exceptional reviews, especially Shahid and Tabu. The music album is as non-commercial as the film.

1. Aao Na
Kick-ass music and extremely well sung by Vishal Dadlani! The lyrics are chilling, and so is the video, which shares the flavour of the film!

2. Bismil
Sung by Sukhwinder Singh this song is an interesting story of two people in love, portrayed even more beautifully by Shahid Kapoor in the video. The song is strange and yet powerful. It makes you curious of the plot, and pulls you to watch the film.

3. Khul Kabhi Toh
A love song by Arijit Singh. But this time he has taken his singing to a new level of serenity, intensity and romance. the lyrics are something you;ll have never heard before, and the song is very different to hear! The video is passionate with lots of love making scenes (and Shahid is hot)!

4. Gulon Mein Rang Bhare
One more Arijit Singh song, but this one not so romantic. It’s got a sad feel and the lyrics are poetry-like. Th song is very close to a gazal.

5. Ek Aur Bismil
This track is a peppier version of the original Bismil. Sung once again by Sukhwinder Singh, this song is lighter. This version is more popular on the radio for obvious reasons!

6. Jhelum
A somber, almost depressing song by Vishal Bhardwaj.

7. So Jao
In the voices of Bashir Lone, Bashir Bhawani, Muzamil Bhawani, this number is one more strange composition. Another version of Aao Na.

8. Do Jahaan
The song is sung by Suresh Wadkar along with Shraddha Kapoor herself! Her voice is young, fresh, and gorgeous, just like herself. With a peaceful touch, this song is comforting and beautiful.

9. Aaj Ke Naam
A touching song sung by Rekha Bhardwaj. It’s again, very depressing and upsetting.

A very, very powerful music album with interesting compositions, wonderful voices and absolute amazing lyrics. A must hear!
