Entertainment Music Review

By Tulsi, Bollywood.com News Network

An Akshay Kumar, Tamannaah Bhatia, Krushna Abhishek, Mithun Chakraborty starrer, this film could have had the chance to be a real Entertainment! But then again, it is directed by duo Sajid-Farhad (and we all know how that turns out every time). Releasing on 8th August 2014, this film is a slapstick comedy (oh God, yes it’s one of those Sajid movies). The songs though, are super-awesome.

1. Veerey Di Weding

A Punjabi wedding song. Awesome and unique beats, Mika’s pumped up voice, fun and different lyrics, make a this song very, very Punjabi yet not the typical Punjabi song that you would expect. Akshay Kumar is the icing on the cake. No wait! It’s his dog, who he refers to as Veerey (friend) in this song and who this song is sung for! The video is so adorable! Though this first track is not so popular yet, I’m pretty confident that it’s going to catch on and be played everywhere! The song also has a remix (but it doesn’t really need one?). It’s not as great as the original, but it’s good to dance on because it has faster beats.

2. Tera Naam Doon

Atif Aslam is back, this time with Shalmali Kholgade. A romantic proposal song, the track is okay, but honestly it’s great to hear Atif’s voice after so long. I’ve heard it play on the radio quite a few times, and I can tell this is going to be doing the rounds on the FM for a while! The video is sweet, but a little overdone when trying to create the “aw so cute” feel. But it’s Akshay Kumar, so I don’t mind!

3. Johnny Johnny

A very innovative song on daaru! It’s very funny, catchy and addictive! Also, well sung by Jigar, Priya Panchal and Madhav Krishna. This track is an example of creativity and awesomeness. Cheers! The video, sadly, isn’t up to the mark. And for some reason, Akshay Kumar looks like Tiger Shroff. Yikes!

4. Teri Mahima Aprampaar

A very random and okay song that sounds like a 90’s Govinda song. Sung by Anushka Manchanda and Udit Narayan, and Udit totally does justice to the song. It’s like the song was written specially for him!

5. Nahin Woh Saamne

Another Atif number that starts the signature Atif way. A separation song that gets over even before it’s started really!?

A great album with all kinds of songs! Romantic song, Party song, Wedding song, sad song, one weird song, a remix – Check, check, check, check, check, and check! Some tracks are extremely awesome and will definitely be topping the charts for a while.
