Mumbai, March 30 -- In an attempt to make Ek Paheli Leela a chartbuster album, director Bobby Khan roped in several composers to create an album of nine eclectic songs.
One of the highlights of the film is the romantic track, 'Tere bin', the music of which was originally composed by the song's vocalist, Uzair Jaswal, and has been reprised by Amaal Mallik for the film.
A total contrast is 'Desi look', which has been sung by Kanika Kapoor and composed by Dr Zeus. Speaking about the popularity of the two numbers, producer Bhushan Kumar says, "'Desi look' and 'Tere bin' have become a rage. They have already crossed more than 5 million views on YouTube."
On the other hand, 'Saiyaan superstar' is a quintessential wedding song that has been sung by Tulsi Kumar and composed by Amaal. Then there is 'Dholi taro', a recreated version of the song with the same title from the film, Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam (1999). It's been reprised by the Meet Bros Anjjan, and has been sung by Monali Thakur.
Speaking about the collection of songs, Bhushan adds, "When we sat for the narration of the film, Ahmed (Khan; producer-choreographer) and I were sure that the songs are a crucial part of storytelling, and Bobby gave us perfect places where the songs would take the story forward. The different composers who came on board helped us get songs that were different from one another, which actually helped them stand out from each other." Produced by T-Series and Paperdoll Entertainment, Ek Paheli Leela is set to release on April 10.
