New Delhi, Nov. 7 -- This time around Christmas, box-office will witness an unlikely clash in Aamir Khan-starrer Dhoom:3 and animation film Mahabharat. These will be released simultaneously on December 20.
The animation flick has stars like Amitabh Bachchan, Ajay Devgn, Anil Kapoor, Vidya Balan and Jackie Shroff lending their appearances and voices to mythological heroes. Though Mahabharat is not expected to challenge the third installment of the Dhoom franchise, the special effects in the project could entice family audiences.
"Both the films are big in their respective genres. Dhoom:3 has a lot of buzz and is expected to do well," says a trade source. Dhoom:3, is expected to get the lion's share of screens across theatres. However, this has not dampened the morale of the makers of Mahabharat. "We are aware that Dhoom:3 will be a big film but there is no clash, as both films belong to different genres," says Jayantilal Gada, producer of Mahabharat.
