The producer of upcoming Bollywood film Boss today informed the Delhi High Court that an objectionable word in one of the songs in the movie has been "muted".
Informing a bench of justices N V Ramana and Manmohan, the counsel for the filmmaker said the word in the song has been "muted and the Central Board of Film Certification has issued a certificate in this regard on October 9."
Accepting the submission, the bench disposed of the PIL which contended that the song sung by rapper Honey Singh contained a vulgar word and the trailers are being shown on various TV channels and other media.
The Akshay Kumar starrer film is scheduled to be released in theatres on October 16.
The bench was hearing the PIL filed by lawyer Sanjay Bhatnagar seeking a stay on the film, contending that without censor board's approval, the song could not be released with such a vulgar word.
The petition had sought a stay on the release of the film till either the word or the song is deleted from the film.
