Bobby Jasoos Music Review

By Tulsi, Bollywood.com News Network

Bobby Jasoos, produced by Dia Mirza and Sahil Sangha, releases on July 4th, 2014. The movie stars Vidya Balan as its lead actor/actress (opposite Ali Fazal), who plays the role of Bobby, a detective that aspires to be the best one existing in Hyderabad.

1. Jashn

A celebration song, sung by Shreya Ghoshal and Bonnie Chakraborty, which simply celebrates life. It’s happy, it’s positive, it’s energetic and it’s slightly unusual. Beautifully composed, well sung and some interesting lyrics. The video however isn’t strong enough, and Vidya Balan appears to have gone mad with crazy and not so appealing steps. The song is shot in the narrow gullis of Hyderabad.

2. Tu

A very, very well composed number. It’s very romantic, and different.

Papon and Shreya Ghoshal have sung this song so beautifully good, and the song has a soothing tune with a classical touch. The reprise version is slightly different, but as beautiful. Love it.  The video has strong a strong similarity with the video of “Ishq Sufiyana”, except that video is more sultry. Here, she just looks beautiful (unlike in the previous track)!

3. B.O.B.B

I assume this is the title song. The number focuses on Bobby and her character. It’s okay. Pretty boring almost. It’s sung by Neeraj Shridhar, Archana Gore, Deepti Rege, Mayuri Patwardhan and Aparna Ulla.

4. Sweety

Very boring. It’s the usual guy impressing girl and girl throwing attitude song. The tune is messed up, and the song even has a Shakespeare touch with “thee”. Vidya balan looks very regular in the video. She can look so much better. Sung by, Monali Thakur and Aishwarya Nigam.

A very small album of two good songs and two crappy songs. Not good enough to be a powerful album at all, and not convincing to pull crowds to the cinemas. Very disappointing for Vidya Balan.
