Badlapur Music Review

The much, much awaited Varun Dhawan starrer that’s got fans eager and how! This crime drama/thriller also stars Nawazuddin Siddiqui in the second lead role, and Huma Qureshi, Yami Gautam, Divya Dutta and Radhika Apte in supporting roles. The release date is 20th February 2015.

1. Jee Karda
Absolutely addictive. The song is sung really well by Divya Kumar. You’ll get to treat yourself with a raw, angry, sexy Varun Dhawan. Some intense dance moves and some splashes of red. Once in a while, a very well dressed, suited Varun Dhawan who is otherwise completely grunge. The video can be summed up with anger, passion and revenge. And it’s drool-worthy. The rock version is even better! A must hear!

2. Jeena Jeena
The most popular song of the album and for obvious reasons. It’s almost an Atif Aslam come back. Sung so, so well, it’s just beautiful. Melodious, romantic, and I can go on! It’s a long drive and guitars song. A completely different Varun Dhawan from the first song, much younger, cute and romantic. The video has a happy feel to it.

The track has a remix version as well, which makes you ask one question: Why? Why would anyone want to do disco moves on such a soulful song?

3. Judaai
Sung by Rekha Bhardwaj and Arijit Singh, this obviously has to be a sad song. But it’s nothing like what the title suggests. It’s completely hatke and wow! Arijit is much, much better than usual (and he’s already good usually), but the highlight is Rekha.

A short album with intense songs! The composition is remarkable, and I am absolutely in love with all three songs.
