The oh-so-much awaited Karan Johar film starring Ranbir Kapoor, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Anushka Sharma! Ranbir and Aishwarya’s pairing is driving the nation nuts, and their latest Filmfare cover together has definitely set the glossie (and our hearts) on fire!
The movie also stars Deepti Naval and Lisa Haydon, as well as Fawad Khan in a special appearance and Shah Rukh Khan in a cameo appearance.
Unfortunately, the film has been hit by the recent political situation between India and Pakistan. Since Fawad is part of the film, many states have banned the film, discouraging talent from across the border.
The film releases on 28th October, on the Diwali weekend, and we don’t know how badly this situation is going to affect the film… But the music album has already done what it needed to. Check it out!
1. The Breakup Song
Definitely the coolest break-up song ever! It’s quirky, fun, silly and peppy, in the Arijit Singh, Jonita Gandhi, Nakash Azis and Badshah. The video is as fun, and definitely makes you move it! Also Ranbir and Anushka are adorable together!
2. Channa Mereya
No doubt, the most trending song of the album, and there’s no surprise why. It’s absolutely soulful and heartbreakingly romantic. Arijit Singh lends his voice for this wedding song.
Yet another popular song that’s hit the chartbusters like a bomb! Amit Mishra and Shilpa Rao are the singers of this energetic sufi-like track.
4. Ae Dil Hai Mushkil
The album ends with the title track by Arijit Singh. This was the first song to come out, and received a lot of praise. Yes, it’s beautiful and romantic. I did find the video a little drag and depressing, with Ranbir behind the mike.
What an amazing album! It’s definitely one of those that will stick with you and keep rocking the chartbusters long after the movie is a few years old. Short and so, so sweet.
