Farhan Akhtar departed for Ladakh on Sunday to shoot for Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra’s Bhaag Milkha Bhaag (BMB). The second schedule of iconic athlete Milkha Singh’s biopic will last for 25 days.
Incidentally, this isn’t the first time Farhan will visit the scenic location. Around 2004, the director-turned-actor had shot the Hrithik Roshan-starrer Lakshya in Ladakh. And going by the messages he has been posting on the microblogging site, Twitter, Farhan sure looks excited about the trip. “Leaving for BMB second schedule. To the heavenly location called Ladakh. Mind racing back to time spent there 10 years ago, filming Lakshya.”
Farhan, who plays the famous athlete in the film, has spent the last few months grooming himself for the shoot. He has also developed an athlete’s body for the sports-drama, which features Sonam Kapoor as his co-star. After the film’s first shooting schedule ended in April this year, the actor took a short vacation to Portugal in July. On his return, he jumped straight into a training camp for BMB.
An insider reveals, “He has worked really hard to achieve and maintain the look and physique required for the film. Farhan had to take care of his regimen even during his break. He gives it his 100 per cent when he’s shooting for a film, and disconnects himself completely from everyday activities.”
