Mika Singh is on a high in his career with hits like Rani mein tu raja and Go go govinda. So when a successful singer has to share credits with another, there might be raised voices. In Yash Raj Films’ next release Mere Dad Ki Maruti, Mika and Honey Singh have sung a boisterous number Punjabiyaan
Shot on Ram Kapoor, Saqib Salem and Rhea Chakraborty, the song has been garnering praise as listeners enjoy the two popular voices coming together for a Bollywood film. But apparently, Mika is miffed with Honey Singh for getting all the limelight for the song.
MikaA source says, “In all his songs, even ones featuring other singers, Mika has always been the star. He is doing very well in his career and is secure about himself. But perhaps because Honey Singh’s popularity is growing in India as well, he is being noticed more than Mika in the song.”
Apparently, Mika and Honey have known each other for over five years. In spite of repeated attempts, Mika remained unavailable for a comment.
However, Ashish Patil, business and creative head, Y Films says, “Mika Singh has sung the song exceptionally well and he should get his due credit.”
