Mahie Gill: 'I'm being taken for granted'

New Delhi, March 9 -- Actor Mahie Gill is upset with the roles being offered to her. Thanks to her unconventional outing in films such as Dev.D, Gulaal, Dabangg, Mirch, Paan Singh Tomar and Dabangg 2, Bollywood producers are offering her similar roles.

"I'm being stereotyped. Around 30-40 scripts have come my way, with people claiming that the script or the character has been written for me, but, those are bad scripts," said the 37-year-old , on her recent visit to the Capital.

She further complains: "Producers and writers have started taking me for granted. I am shy, so I can't even say no to people. I don't take their calls now." The miffed actor is now trying to break away from her set image. "I really want to try new genres please, I'm dying to," said Mahie, who has reprised her role as the 'biwi' in Saheb Biwi Aur Gangster Returns, the sequel to the 2011 hit, Saheb Biwi Aur Gangster, that hit the screens yesterday. The talented actor also reveals another facet of her supposedly 'bold' persona. "Not many people know that I'm very shy. I'm an introvert and not at all an outgoing person. I love staying in my shell," she said, adding, "I have crowd phobia now, since the time I shifted to Bombay. I start fumbling in front of a gathering and I want to get over it."
