Madras Cafe clears censor barrier

By HT

Filmmaker Shoojit Sircar is relieved after his Madras Cafe got a clearance from the censor board with a U/A certificate.

Madras Cafe, a political-thriller, deals with terrorism and civil war and was reportedly shot in Sri Lanka and India. Sircar requested the audience's indulgence for enjoying the sequence of events in his forthcoming offering.

Shoojit Sircar said, "I would request the audience not to leave their brains at home. Get your brains and do a bit of research before you come to watch the film."

Featuring John, who has also produced the film, and Nargis Fakhiri, the film is slated for an Aug 23 release.
