Mumbai, Oct. 15 -- Suneil Shetty's next production, Loot, revolves around four extremely unskilled crooks who're out to steal some jewels from Thailand.
And the cast recently got a taste of the real deal, when the crewmembers were arrested by local police since they didn't have the required permission papers to shoot at a particular location in Pattaya.
Suniel, who is also acting in the film, passes the buck to his executive directors, saying, "The incident did happen while we were shooting, but it wasn't our fault. It was a mistake on the part of the executive producers. There was some problem with the permissions, which was then sorted out," says Suniel.
Directed by debutant Rajneesh Thakkur, the comic caper marks the acting debut of singer Mika Singh, and also features Govinda, Javed Jaffrey and Mahakshay Chakraborty . Suniel had to shell out R 25 lakh to bail them out, reveals Rajneesh. "The cameraman and action director were arrested, along with a few others. When Anna (Suneil) found out, he came to the rescue, paying the fines even though it was not his fault," he says.
The film also features Rakhi Sawant, who's performing an item number. Loot has already been attracting its fair share of trouble before hitting theatres. Recently, Govinda and Suniel pulled out of the shooting of a promotional video which Mika had written and composed, finding it too raunchy for their taste.
