Live on, Jiah: Bollywood

New Delhi, June 6 -- Bollywood celebrities turned up to pay tribute to actor Jiah Khan, as her final rites were performed on Wednesday afternoon in Mumbai. Actor Aamir Khan, who worked with Jiah in Ghajini, arrived at her house on Tuesday evening to console her mother.

Jiah was found hanging at her house in Mumbai, late Monday night. Police investigations have revealed that the actor was depressed over her failing career and a love affair gone wrong with upcoming actor Sooraj Pancholi, son of actor Aditya Pancholi.

"I wish I had known that she was troubled and needed help," said Aamir. Earlier, actors Raza Murad, Urvashi Dholakia and filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt, too, visited her house. Bhatt was to initially launch Jiah in Tumsa Nahi Dekha, but she later backed out of the project and the film went to Dia Mirza. "It feels like death to a mother to see her own child hanging from the ceiling. She is shocked and struggling to come to terms with the fact that her daughter is no more," said Bhatt.

Actor Amitabh Bachchan, who had initially expressed shock at the news and called it 'unbelievable', tweeted late night, 'Disturbed and debating with my mind, what makes the young wanting to end a beautiful life !!... There are pitfalls and rejections in every one's life ...tell me one human that has been devoid of this? But we must fight it and win.'
