She admits that she was stressed venturing into unknown territory and trying to fill Akshay Kumar’s big shoes. But Khatron Ke Khiladi X 3’s blockbuster opening — TRPs of 5.5 that had it streaking ahead of every other reality show to date — has been a much-needed adrenalin boost. It’s too early to say if she’ll be back for another season of ‘aah’, ‘ouch’ and ‘eeks’ or another stint on TV, but a fearless Priyanka Chopra is certainly looking forward to Don 2, in which she will be doing her own stunts.

Besides the action and SRK, Priyanka is super excited that Lara Dutta is a part of the cast too. The former Miss World and Miss Universe debuted opposite Akshay Kumar in Andaaz in 2003, but they haven’t worked together in five years since Barsaat (2005). “Lara’s one of the nicest persons I know. Ten years ago, when I was only 17, she was very supportive. I’m glad she’s found the right guy in Mahesh (tennis ace Bhupathi),” PC says.

Has she found her Mr Right too? She’s been spotted driving around with actor Shahid Kapoor, even before she left for Rio. “No comments,” she says firmly, but admits that the soon-to-release Anjaana Anjaani has taught her to value love and celebrate life.

PriyankaThe film opens with a couple planning to jump off the Golden Bridge in San Francisco.

“Since I had just seen The Bridge (2006), documenting suicide attempts, it was eerie and disturbing shooting there,” recalls Priyanka. “I’ve had my lows too, but I’ve never wanted to take my own life. I believe in love, it can change your world.”

Neetu Kapoor believes that Katrina Kaif and she make the best pairs with son Ranbir. Will this lead to the perfect strangers doing more movies together? “We’ve confirmed our dates for Anurag Basu’s Silence, they just have to lock the second heroine,” she informs. “And that’s enough for next year. We may be good friends but we don’t want to pack our calendar with ‘together’ films.”

Priyanka’s been flooded with movie offers; there were seven at last count. “I wasn’t counting,” she smiles, but says that she’s lucky to be able to pick and choose from so many fabulous roles. “I won’t be able to fit in Kunal Kohli’s next but Saif (Ali Khan) and I could be working together in another film. Also, it’s no-dates for The Italian Job, but I’m trying to work things out for Vishal’s (Bharadwaj) Dream Sequence and one other film. Life’s on the upswing!”

For now, she’s happy getting into Farhan Akhtar’s Don 2 — The Chase Continues, with Shah Rukh Khan and Lara Dutta.
