Mumbai, April 11 -- The Great Khali is India-bound yet again. The WWE (World Wrestling Entertainment) heavy weight champion will be fighting in the Indian ring now. The nation is all set to get its own version of the World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE). Yoddhaon Ka Sangram, which opens on May 8 in Gurgaon, will see professional wrestlers from India, South Africa, Turkey and Cuba battle it out for the championship title. WWE superstar The Great Khali aka Dalip Singh Rana will be the guest of honour. Khali's PR manager, Amit Swami, confirmed, "He is looking forward to being in India for this event."
The WWE Champion is all set to make his Bollywood debut, akin to colleague Rock (Dwayne Johnson) who made it big in Hollywood. Khali is acting in a children's film, Rama The Saviour, to be produced and directed by Abdul Aziz. No prizes for guessing that Khali will play the bad guy. Buzz is that Khali has been paid a whopping Rs 1.5 crore for a small role. He will have fight sequences with the lead actor Sahil Khan, who plays the role of Rama.
The film also features Tanushree Dutta in the lead role. Khali has also acted previously in a Hollywood film, The Longest Yard and he's appearing in Get Smart, starring Steve Carell and Bill Murray.
The wrestler will also be making his way to Mumbai on May 1, to pay a visit at the newly opened Hamley's store in Lower Parel. After a lucky draw, 20 contestants will have the opportunity to meet the wrestler.
