Actor Kangana Ranaut, who has never concealed the fact that she’d like to direct movies some day and has often spoken about writing scripts, seems to be taking her first real steps in that direction.
On Monday, a man representing Kangana was at the Film Writers Association (FWA) in Andheri to submit her membership form, says a source who was at the FWA office at the time. The actor’s representative was also carrying a script for registration, adds the source.
Membership of the FWA is mandatory before a script can be registered.
Kangana’s application, however, could not be processed that day due to an error in her form. “The authorities did not accept it because the picture (ideally stamp or passport size) was too big,” says our source.
FWA officials refused to comment on the matter, merely stating that they “get many applications.”
Kangana herself responded to our calls and messages with a terse “No comment.”
