John takes up for absent Kangana

Mumbai, April 26 -- Usually, it's the entire star cast that goes to various cities and attends multiple events to promote their upcoming film, but for Shootout At Wadala (SAW), John Abraham has mostly been flying solo. And while he's at it, the actor - ever the ladies' man - has been taking up for co-star Kangana Ranaut, who is busy shooting for another film in Wai.

A source says, "Always one to take a back seat, John constantly praises Kangana, calling her a nice human being and one of his finest co-stars. During city tours, interviews and conversations with fans and the media, he's been talking about her role as well as her professionalism and acting skills. He makes it a point to mention her whenever he can and even keeps her posted about the marketing and promotion of the film."

Ask John about this and he says, "There were scenes in the film that were so intense, yet Kangana did a brilliant job with them. She is extremely professional and a wonderful girl. Her role in the film is a crucial one."

Earlier this month Kangana was shooting for Revolver Rani in Chambal and is currently in Wai. A while ago, it was reported that she was miffed with the makers of SAW as they apparently focused more on the actors doing item numbers in the film (Priyanka Chopra, Sunny Leone and Sophie Choudhary) than her, even though she is the female lead.
