New Delhi, April 10 -- She has crossed geographical boundaries in real life. And now former Miss Sri Lanka Jacqueline Fernandez is ready to cross cosmic borders in reel life. In Jaane Kahan Se Aayi Hai, her second film after Aladin, the actress plays Tara, an alien from planet Venus who descends on earth looking for true love.

Actor Riteish Deshmukh plays Rajesh Parekh, the simpleton who romances the extraterrestrial. "In the past seven years that I've spent in the industry, people asked me when will I do something different. So when it finally came along, I didn't want to miss the chance," says the actor.

For Fernandez, however, it's too early to be choosy. But the actress still seems to have a knack for offbeat subjects - a sci-fi rom-com after a fantasy romance... With the same co-star? "Riteish worked for me in Aladin," she is quick to explain. Interestingly, there are also reports linking up the two stars. "I find link ups really weird. It is so funny, that I just meet someone and suddenly it makes for news," says Fernandez, adding that she's focussed on her career right now.

Having tried her luck on Indian shores (she has just bagged a soft drink ad with Ranbir Kapoor and Sanjay Dutt), Fernandez says she is game for other international projects. "I'm open to doing international films," says the beauty.

Deshmukh, however, is content at home. "I'm happy here (in Bollywood). And of course, no one has asked me as yet," says the actor, adding that probably in a year or so, he would be seen doing a Marathi film. "I've been getting quite a few offers from the regional film industry," he signs off.
