Usually politically correct, Katrina Kaif is making tabloid headlines these days usually for unsavoury reasons. News floats about her birthday celebration, clarification follows by shooting down media's insinuations. She is in the news again for her remarks about Rahul Gandhi, promptly an apology followed..
The 27-year-old actor has apologised for her remarks about Rahul Gandhi in a recent interview to a daily. Earlier Congress spokesperson, Manish Tiwari had reacted sharply to her remarks saying, "Katrina Kaif kaun hai, main nahi janta. Kal ko aap Johnny Lever ke bayan par pratikriya mangege. Raajniti ko kitna neeche lekar jayenge (I don't know who Katrina Kaif is. Tomorrow, you will ask our reactions on Johnny Lever. To what levels will you bring politics down?)," PTI reports.
The Zindagi Na Milegi Dobaara actor had said in an interview to a daily that she's "half-Indian, just like Rahul Gandhi." This caused a flutter in the Congress camp.
"I think the statement has been taken out of context, but if I have hurt anyone's sentiments, I'm extremely sorry," Katrina told Headlines Today on Tuesday, "I request media to not to make any controversy out of that, because it's not the way the statement was made at all."
Hopefully, this is the last spot of trouble for the B-Town beauty.
