New Delhi, July 17 -- He may be two films old, but actor Arjun Kapoor has managed to carve a niche for himself.
"I am very excited to be part of the industry. I'm happy that I have some good projects coming up. I want to do as many different roles as possible and make all attempts to keep my audiences entertained," says the 28 year old.
When asked about how he copes with competition, Arjun says, "I believe in giving my 100% at work. Also, if I keep thinking about competition, when will I get time to work?" Arjun also doesn't forget to tell us that he owes a lot to his mentor, actor Salman Khan. "I give all the credit of becoming an actor to Salman bhai. I wanted to be a director but Salman bhai told me that it would be my biggest mistake if I didn't try out acting. He worked hard with me for four years and helped me get into shape. I treat him like an elder brother and owe a lot to him. I want to do very well in the industry and make him proud," he says.
So, would he like to work with Salman in the near future? "Of course, I would love to work with Salman bhai. But let's see when that happens," he says.
Arjun, who will next be seen in Gunday, is all praise for co-star Priyanka Chopra. Interestingly, not many people know that Arjun was an assistant director in the film, Salaam-e-Ishq which featured PeeCee. He says, "When I was an assistant in Salaam-e-Ishq, I used to go to Priyanka's van and shout, 'Ma'am, the shot is ready.' I say the same thing to her even now. We did a lot of masti on the set and it was fantastic working with her."
Talking about his love life, Arjun says, "I am single and whether I am ready to mingle or not depends on the girl." The actor's other upcoming films include Finding Fanny Fernandes, Two States and dad Boney Kapoor's production.
