I, Me Aur Main fares marginally better than The Attacks Of 26/11

Bollywood's two new releases - The Attacks Of 26/11 and I, Me Aur Main - opened to a below-the-mark response across the nation. John Abraham-starrer performed slightly better at select plexes, while the former was ahead in pockets of Maharashtra.

Despite the high-profile promotions and buzz created about both the films, neither has Ram Gopal Varma's reality-inspired drama, nor has John Abraham's light-hearted comedy managed to draw the audience to the halls.

NanaThe Attacks Of 26/11 won immense praise and great reviews, but it did not translate into BO figures. The film performed slightly better in pockets of Maharashtra and South India. Opening weekend figures awaited.

I, Me Aur Main is a non-starter. Maintained lackluster business all through the weekend. Collected approx Rs. 5.40 cr nett in its opening weekend. It collected 1.45 cr on Friday and 1.75 cr on Saturday, totalling to 3.20 cr.

What comes as a surprise is that the new releases are backed by reputed names/studios and star well-known names in the cast, yet the occupancy was much, much lower than last week's Kai Po Che, which starred relative newcomers in lead roles.

However, the evening/night shows are crucial for both these films.

Meanwhile, Kai Po Che is expected to dominate the domestic BO for the second consecutive weekend, as per early trends.
