Actor Mahie Gill, whose characters have mostly had a sensuous connotation to them, says “I’m not that sensuous in real life but when you get to do something that you are not, it is a bigger challenge. I’m lucky I get such roles.”
The 37-year-old, whose filmography includes movies such as Dev D, Gulaal, Dabangg, Not A Love Story, Saheb Biwi Aur Gangster and Paan Singh Tomar, is busy promoting her next, Sahib, Biwi aur Gangster Returns.
Mahie says promotions are going to see a lot of effort from the cast, which also includes actor Jimmy Shergill, Irrfan and Soha Ali Khan. “We will put in double the effort in promoting the film than we put in while shooting it,” says Mahie. Directed by Tigmanshu Dhulia, the film hits theatres on March 8.
Meanwhile, the actor is keen to dabble in genres she hasn’t touched yet. “I really want to try comedy. There are some genres I haven’t tried — comedy, action and horror. I would really like to try them,” she says.
