Actor Sonal Chauhan has had enough of reports linking her to actor Neil Nitin Mukesh (inset). Inspite of rumours that the two are going strong, Sonal, who is working with Neil in the psycho-thriller 3G, says that they are ‘just friends’.
“I didn’t know Neil before we signed a film. That’s when we got introduced. I love meeting people I work with. People think that he is a single guy, she is a single girl, so they start linking us up. Plus, we are actors. Going out for coffee does not mean two people are dating,” she says. How does she react to Neil’s recent statement that he is very fond of her? “I am also very fond of Neil. He is a very nice guy. We don’t get awkward about these things. We laugh about them.”
The two will soon take off to Fiji to shoot for 3G and the actor can’t wait to get started on the film. “The film is in a bit of a horror space. It’s not the kind of horror film we have grown up with ... it doesn’t have the prosthetic scary faces. The film also has a beautiful love story,” she says.
While talking about her look in the film, the actor says that she is trying to keep it “effortless”. “My character is not a girl next door. She is sexy, independent and has a mind of her own. We really racked our brains about the look,” she says.
The actor, who has been busy with the look tests, says she has missed out on watching IPL matches. “I have been preparing for 3G. I haven’t watched a single match. Before leaving for Fiji to shoot the film, I intend to watch at least one match,” she says.
