For over a year now, Hrithik Roshan seems to be on a weight-gaining spree. However, unlike his wheelchair-bound role in Guzaarish, for which he had become a little paunchy, the actor is adding muscle weight for the remake of Agneepath.
Of course, the light-eyed star had to work out extensively to first lose the unwanted fat... Only then did he start bulking up for his new movie. At the same time, he also followed a strict diet, avoiding calorie-rich food and indulging in high-protein nutrients instead.
Set to go from 72 kg to 82-84 kg, Roshan will look huge on screen. “But it will be a very muscular look, for which he’s training for two hours every day,” reveals his trainer, Satyajit Chaurasia, adding, “His overpowering presence will be evident even though he’ll be wearing full-sleeved shirts.”
Does that mean after all this bulking up, the actor won’t bare his beefy torso? “No. There are only a couple of bare-bodied portions in the action sequences,” smiles the ace celebrity fitness guru.
Roshan is following his prescribed diet perfectly, eating every two-three hours. “Twenty egg whites, two chicken breasts alternating with fish, protein shakes, multivitamins and amino acids constitute a major part of Hrithik’s diet,” reveals Chaurasia.
The actor ensures that he finishes his daily exercise regimen, even though he’s got a busy date diary after signing up to be a judge on the TV show, Just Dance. Chaurasia tells us that if Roshan has prior commitments during the day, he even trains at 1.30 am after his finishing up.
The actor, who sports a stubble and wears jeans, shirts and chappals for his portrayal of Vijay Chauhan in the Agneepath remake, currently weighs 78.5 kgs. By the end of next month, he’ll be 82-84 kgs, when the shooting for the action portions begins.
