The Beatles Paul McCartney and Ringo to reunite for Grammys

Sir Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr will be performing at the Grammy Awards. The Recording Academy has announced that the two surviving members of the Beatles, who last performed together in 2009, will take to the stage at the annual event in Los Angeles on January 26, the Daily Express reported.

The Beatles will be honored at the Academy's Special Merits Awards this month.

Interestingly, Yoko Ono, widow of late Beatles star John Lennon, blamed Paul McCartney for the breakup of the band. "We saw Ringo Starr one night with Maureen Starkey Tigrett, and he came to John and me and said he wanted to leave. George Harrison was next, and then John," Ono said in an interview. Read more.

Other stars performing at this year's Grammys are Taylor Swift, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, Kendrick Lamar, Robin Thicke and Katy Perry.
