Noted lyricist-filmmaker Gulzar will lend his voice to an upcoming anti-war film, Kya Dilli Kya Lahore.
The film, produced by Karan Arora, has him narrating a few lines to outline the story. The veteran fell for the script for its peaceful message and agreed to mentor the whole project.
“What I loved about the film is the fact that it is an anti-war film, it talks about peace but in a very light hearted manner,” he says.
He not only wrote the songs, but also decided to give his voice for recitation before the songs. The recitation will also be used in the promo of the film. The film, starring Manu Rishi, Vijay Raaz and Raj Zutshi, is a story about the bond between an Indian and a Pakistani Soldier stationed at the Indo Pak border.
Directed by Vijay Raaz, the film, currently under post-production, is slated to release later this year.
