Mumbai, June 6 -- Renu Bhandarkar Filmmaker Madhur Bhandarkar's wife handles the back end of his film business and spends the rest of her time looking after their home and daughter.
FITNESS REGIMEN: "I walk five times a week for 40 minutes. I don't follow diets, however. I am genetically blessed perhaps. I was an athletic person in my school and college days and have never entered the gym. I don't need to work out. I am a disciplined person, so perhaps that has helped."
DIETARY HABITS: "I stick to home-cooked food and hardly eat out."
DRIVING FACTOR: "Today, everyone wants to be fit and healthy. You want to be presentable when you move around in certain circles. But I have never been insecure about being around Madhur and his heroines, or felt that I have to look good due to other women in the industry. I can't compare myself with actresses because I won't ever be seen on screen like them."
Krishika Lulla Producer Sunil Lulla's wife, Krishika, also works in his company. She is a mother of two kids.
FITNESS REGIMEN: "I have always been into fitness and I keep trying out different workouts. They help me lose weight and stay fit. Currently, I do Iyengar Yoga and basic gymnastics and martial arts. I used to do heavy weights earlier. But I keep changing my regimens to challenge myself. I can do heavy intensity workouts too - like jog for an hour. Earlier, I used to work out for three hours at a stretch but now have cut it down to one-and-a-half-hours a day."
DIETARY HABITS: "I don't eat carbs after 7 pm. But in the morning and afternoon, I eat a mix of proteins and carbs for energy throughout the day."
DRIVING FACTOR: "I love myself and my body, and like to look good. I want my clothes to look good on me and that's the reason I work out. Yes, female actors are beautiful and skinny, but my fitness level is also very good. Everyone has their own personality and one shouldn't compare oneself with others."
Wardha Nadiadwala Producer Sajid Nadiadwala's wife, Wardha, is a homemaker and a mother of two kids. She is often spotted with her husband at high profile events and has also walked the ramp in the past.
FITNESS REGIMEN: "My husband is a fitness freak and he pushes me to work out too. Currently, I am into CrossFit training for strengthening the core muscles, and Pilates. I keep changing my workouts. For example, I do boxing for six months and then switch to kathak or something else. Right now I have six-pack abs. It's become an obsession!"
DIETARY HABITS: "I stick to proteins mostly but I eat rotis to fulfill my carbs requirement. Earlier, I used to diet to lose weight but not anymore. I eat well and then workout."
DRIVING FACTOR: "Sajid wanted me to stay fit and that is the major driving factor. Also in the industry that he's in, there are so many beautiful women around, so I don't want him to feel like I am one of those overweight wives."
Divya Kumar Producer Bhushan Kumar's wife is working on her directorial debut, Yaariyan. She is a mother of one.
FITNESS REGIMEN: "For me fitness is not just about being thin but also about having good stamina. You could be skinny but a fatigued person. I have been working out since the last 10-12 years and yoga has worked best for me."
DIETARY HABITS: "I eat proper meals, have nuts and drink milk. I avoid fried food. I think women need a lot of strength. Earlier, I used to be crazy about sweets but when I got pregnant, I suddenly started disliking sweets. Now I don't eat any."
DRIVING FACTOR: "I used to look at other women in the industry and feel the need to stay slim. And I used to work towards that. But today I don't feel insecure about my physique as I want to be fit more than being slim. I want to be healthy, which is my goal and driving factor."
